RIM: Playbook Will Not Be Tablets Android

Had long been rumors saying that the Blackberry Playbook will be running Android by Android-based application layer developed by RIM.

But it wills very likely not all Android applications can be run in this Playbook as RIM in DroidCon conference in Romania saying that Android layer will have limited support for Android, among them is Live Wallpaper, SIP and SIP VoIP, and application widgets. Android layer also will not be compatible with applications that use Google Maps, buying services in applications, text-to-speech, or a messaging system with cloud.

Actually this is not too surprising considering RIM has never promised full support for Android on Playbook early on, so if you want to have a tablet that could fuel Android's, it was like when this Playbook tablet can not be what you want.
